The exhibition “Transition” can be viewed in the summer shed at the former Fircks-Pedvale Manor grain drying kiln.
On 4 July 2018, construction and restoration works were started in the masters’ house of Fircks-Pedvale Manor. The construction works will continue until the end of 2019, and in the year 2020 the International Artists’ Residency will be opened in the manor building. It is an important step for further development of Pedvale Art Park, and the exhibition “Transition” enables everyone to get acquainted with the ongoing processes.
The exhibition consists of 13 panels featuring the history of the manor, te materials from artistic architectural exploration, the design materials of the master’s house and the information about works that are taking place at the adjacent site. An informative educational booklet has also been published, in which the history, architecture, functions at different times of the Fircks-Pedvale Manor and the future function of the proposed object as the International Artists’ Residency are described more widely in the Latvian and English languages.
