On 1 June 2024, together with the goodwill ensemble “Stiprās sievas” (“Strong Women”), the environmental art object “Straightening” by Ojārds Feldbergs was opened. It is made up of a circle of split up stones, symbolising the destroyed land of Ukraine. In the centre of the circle there is a vertically protruding stone, which, in turn, symbolises the Ukrainian nation, which stands up and resists the invading occupiers.
The environmental art object “Straightening” is part of the ensemble of 4 objects planned by Ojārs Feldberg in Pedvāle Art Park. Two years ago, the environmental art object “Scream” was created, and two more objects will be created in the coming years.
